The latest episode of the We Are GAMRs Podcast is up and ready for listening/viewing. This week, the crew discuss the conference from E3 as well as some highlights of the event.
Dynasty Warriors 8 is said to be the “definitive Dynasty Warriors experience” and it’s not hard to see why with it’s huge roster of over 70 playable characters, 44 new and revised battlefields which feature more detail than ever before, new and returning game modes and the biggest retelling of the Romance of the Three Kingdoms story.
The game will feature three game modes, Story Mode, Ambition Mode and Free Mode.
For those of you who have followed up with the Japanese release of Shin Sangokumusou 7 will not be surprised as this is not new news per se, but for those of you who haven’t then you’ll be pleased to know that three new characters have been introduced into the Shu Kingdom.
The new additions are young faces of Shu including Guan Xing and Guan Yinping, who are Guan Yu’s children and siblings of Guan Ping and Guan Suo. There is also Zhang Bao who is the son of Zhang Fei.
Tecmo Koei have announced at E3 the final two characters to be included in the roster for Dead Or Alive 5 Ultimate.
First up we have fan favourite Leon. Many fans were disappointed at Leon not being included in Dead Or Alive 5 as were hoping for him to make a return following his last console outing as an unlockable character on Dead Or Alive 4.
Leon has been announced along with a new stage for Dead Or Alive 5 Ultimate which is the Desert Wasteland stage which is on a setting similar to his final moment in Dead or Alive 3.
The final character announcement is Rachel who will be joining Momiji from the Ninja Gaiden series. Rachel has been a popular choice by many fans of the Tecmo games due to the cross-over of characters and worlds between Ninja Gaiden and Dead Or Alive. She has topped many fan votes to be included in Dead Or Alive 5 Ultimate and finally those fans wishes have come true.
There is also another new stage added which is the Aircraft Carrier. This stage looks similar to the area featured in Ninja Gaiden 3.
There are also a host of new costumes and hairstyles for characters featured in Dead Or Alive 5 which should please some fans of the series who have been asking for more.
Also added is the new devastating “power launch” move which should assist getting a few juggles with your opponent tossed up in the air.
Unfortunately for some, other fan polls were not successful this time such as for other characters and stages from previous games in the series, but who knows, they may make a return in a future game.
